APRE Issues 2017 Request for Research Proposals

The Alliance for Potato Research & Education (APRE) is currently seeking nutrition research proposals that help to advance scientific knowledge on the role of potatoes in healthy dietary patterns and their association with various health outcomes.

A detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) can be found here. The deadline for submitting a letter of intent is March 10, 2017.

All responses will be reviewed by the APRE board of directors and its nutrition science advisors, who help ensure the projects follow credible and sound methodologies.

APRE has a long-standing commitment to supporting sound and credible scientific research to better understand potatoes’ role in the diet. As part of this effort, APRE strictly adheres to its Integrity Guidelines on Funding Nutrition Research, which align with the Guiding Principles on Industry Funding of Research developed by the International Life Sciences Institute North America. Please review these guidelines before considering a response to the RFP, as APRE only supports research that follows these guidelines.
